Anyone can use a defibrillator to try to save someone’s life. If their heart has stopped, someone should start CPR (for an adult 30 compressions to 2 breaths) while someone else dials 999 and goes to get the defibrillator (AED). In order to access a public defibrillator, the 999 operator will give you a code. They will also talk you through what to do next, and the device itself will give verbal step-by-step instructions too. To familiarise yourself with defibrillator use, see the St John’s Ambulance Website.
This page highlights the locations in Congleton that have Defibrillators. There are two tables; one listing 24hr access and one where the AED’s are only accessible during the opening hours of the venue.
