Congleton VE Day Celebrations as we come together to remember, reflect, and celebrate!
9:00 AM
– Proclamation & Raising of the VE Day Flag at Congleton Cenotaph
11:00 AM
– Service at the Cenotaph with the Royal British Legion in honour of our heroes.
12:00 PM
– Fish and Chip Dinner at the Town Hall (Please note this is by invitation only) with a live performance of 1940’s classic hits with the wonderful R. Hazelwood. A warm welcome and thanks from the Town Mayor, followed by a prayer and message from Revd Ian Endicott.
Thanks to Mossley Women’s Insitute for the big bake! 8 Ginger & Orange cakes will be enjoyed by invited guests.

6:30pm
– Church Bells will ring out across the country.
9:30pm
– Congleton Town Hall will be lit Red, White & Blue.
Also look out for a special Congleton Bear, stationed at Congleton Town Hall entrance for you to have a picture with.
