By Foot and Bike

There are numerous walkways, cut-through ginnels and footpaths to make it easy and attractive to walk to town and local attractions; it really is the best way to experience Congleton! There are at least 14 local attractions within easy distance of the town centre.

Congleton Town Council has launched a series of countryside walks to help people explore and enjoy Congleton and its green spaces. The ‘Discover Congleton From Your Door’ map and leaflet feature eight circular walks ranging from 1.5 to 9 miles, including two step-free routes. Starting near housing areas and public transport links, the walks include clear directions, colour-coded waymarkers and information on local landmarks, historic features and points of interest along the routes.

By Bus

Congleton benefits from four circular bus routes connecting the community with the town centre. The main bus station is in the centre of town.

– The Number 90 serving the Bromley Estate, the 91 serving the Mossley area, the 92 serving the Buglawton and 93 serving Viking Park to West Heath.

Chester Approx. 1 hour by car

Historic Chester is known for its Roman walls, medieval streets and riverside setting. Best accessed by car. Rail connections available via Crewe.
