The Congleton In Bloom team calls for all green-fingered and
handy volunteers, to help in the final push before the 2019 North West In Bloom
judging. The night before judging, on Wednesday 24th July, there
will be a town tidy from 6pm onwards, meeting at the Community Garden, Lawton
Street.

Volunteers can do as little or as much as they want, some of
the activities include: litter picking, weeding, cleaning benches, bins,
railings and signs, removing debris from around the benches and bins and much
more.

Those joining in are advised to wear clothing appropriate to
anticipated weather conditions and sensible footwear. Everything else; Hi-Viz
vests, litter pickers, sacks, gloves and all equipment will be provided. The
Congleton In Bloom team are trying to get as many members of the public to help
out at this final town tidy before judging, as possible.

Congleton In Bloom Chairman David Brown said “The In Bloom team
look forward to welcoming new and existing volunteers to the town tidy on
Wednesday night. We decided that the Community Garden was the best place to
start, with it being in the centre of town, it gives the volunteers the
opportunity to branch off and work on other areas of the town. Congleton In
Bloom relies on community participation and the amount of volunteers that we
have been getting has been fantastic and so, it would be great to have the
highest number yet at our clean-up, for the final push before judging on
Thursday 25th July. Congleton In Bloom promotes making Congleton a
cleaner and greener place to live, work and visit!”
