These roles play a vital part in maintaining and enhancing Congleton’s countryside, public spaces, facilities, and community assets.

Experienced Countryside Ranger

Congleton Town Council is seeking an experienced Countryside Ranger to manage, develop, and maintain countryside recreation and nature conservation sites across the town and surrounding parishes. The role involves applying best-practice countryside management techniques to ensure high standards of service, site maintenance, and public enjoyment.
Streetscape Flexi Operative
SCP 10-12 (£27,694-£28,598)
Congleton Town Council is seeking a flexible operative to support a range of duties across the council’s services, which include:
Streetscape – Carry out maintenance and cleansing activities to keep Congleton and the surrounding parishes clean and well-presented, including the upkeep of public open spaces, parks, cemeteries, highway verges, car parks, and street environments.
Town Hall – Assist with the preparation and set-up of rooms for events and activities at the Town Hall and at external community events.
Paddling Pool – Support the operation and safe use of the paddling pool during the seasonal period (late May to early September).
