Nestled in the centre of Congleton, largely unnoticed by those passing by, is a remarkable hidden treasure — a Georgian bath house surrounded by its own grounds, now home to a newly established Physic Garden.

In 2001, the Congleton Building Preservation Trust was established with the mission of rescuing the site, restoring both listed buildings, and transforming the grounds into a public space for community benefit. Today, the garden is open daily and welcomes all visitors free of charge.

In 2001, the Congleton Building Preservation Trust stepped in to rescue the site. Their mission: to preserve the heritage of these listed structures and transform the gardens into a peaceful, accessible space for the community to enjoy.
