Located just off Mountbatten Way on the edge of Congleton town centre, Daneside Theatre is a 300-seat venue operated by a registered charity. Its mission is to serve as a welcoming space for the entire community, offering cultural and creative opportunities for people of all ages.
Originally constructed in the 1980s, the theatre was significantly expanded in 2000 to include rehearsal rooms, a scenery store, and improved accessibility features, enhancing the experience for performers and audiences alike.
Daneside Theatre is home to a range of local amateur theatre groups and is also available for hire, making it a flexible venue for everything from stage productions and concerts to film screenings, dance performances, pantomimes, and corporate events. Its diverse programming aims to offer something for everyone throughout the performance season.

Ticket office, restrooms, and a bar, with stairs leading to the upper level and access to the auditorium. The Upper Foyer also offers a refreshment area.
The venue has its own car park on Park Street, with additional parking available at Riverside Mill for evening shows.
The auditorium seats up to 300 people, with tiered seating except for the front two rows. The first row can accommodate up to 10 wheelchairs if arranged in advance when booking tickets.
The Theatre Bar is managed on behalf of the Trust and is staffed by member societies during their performances.
Wheelchair Accessibility: Some parts of the theatre are not accessible to wheelchair users.
Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available near the Lower Foyer, just outside the auditorium.
The first row of seating in the auditorium can be adjusted to accommodate up to 10 wheelchairs (with advance notice required at time of ticket purchase).
Hearing Support: An Induction Loop System is installed for patrons using hearing aids.
Upper Foyer Accessibility: The Upper Foyer (which includes a refreshment area) is not accessible to wheelchair users.
